Saving Lives Both On Page and Off: The Adventures of Solestar

2734489“The story follows Isamu Takahashi, the world’s last superhero, know as Solestar, as he embarks on his greatest journey yet. With one day left to live, and a series of brain aneurysms rupturing in him throughout the day, he spends it trying to turn one of his villains into a hero.” –Donnelly

Two years in the making and written by Siike Donnelly, a brain aneurysm survivor himself, The Adventures of Solestar is special for two reasons. First, in an attempt to break a Guinness Book World Record, the team behind the project has assembled a team of more than 150 artists, each contributing a unique creative perspective to the character and narrative. Second, and most important, 100% of the graphic novel’s proceeds will be donated to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation.

“The Adventures of Solestar: Volume 1 is the first part of a reverse trilogy,” Editor Gene Hoyle adds. “The first book tells Solestar’s death, and what he chooses to do with his final day on Earth. The second book, which we already began, will focus on his greatest threat that he fought in the middle of his 150 year life-span. And the final book will tell his origin.”

What began as a Kickstarter project and hours upon hours of hard work has now come to fruition; however, for the team’s mission to be successful, they need your help. Follow the links below to purchase a copy and support the BAF.
