Indubitable Issues and Pull List (01/20/16)

LOOKING FOR BOOKS TO BUY THIS WEEK?

LOOK NO FURTHER.

HERE ARE SOME ISSUES THAT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.

 Dean’s Recommendation…

TokyoGhostTokyo Ghost #5

“The story has really picked up over the last few issues. Will the work Debbie put in to get her man back pay off or will his recent fix be the end of him?”

Reed’s Recommendation …
NowhereMenNowhere Men #7

“What if science were sexy and cool, having the same cultural impact as rock n’ roll? That’s the premise of this brilliant Image Comics series written by Eric Stephenson, which explores the trials and tribulations of a group of scientists that are as famous and culturally significant as The Beatles.  The members of this group are old and flawed, and their unethical activities are having some dangerous effects on people and the world.  Issue 7 picks up after a long publication hiatus, with new artists (Dave Taylor and Emi Lennox) replacing Nate Bellegarde, accompanied by colorist Jordie Bellaire.  My hypothesis is that you will like this series. Let’s begin the experiment.”

Tyler’s Recommendation …

PatsyPatsy Walker AKA Hellcat #2

“Issue one was great introduction to this version of Patsy, her personality, and motives. The premise of a temp agency for superheroes is intriguing and I really enjoyed the levity in Kate Leth’s script. Brittney Williams’ art work is cartoony, bright and, fun; a perfect fit for this comic. This is a sister title of sorts to the wonderful She-Hulk series by Charles Soule. I expect a lot of guest stars in this, so check it out if your looking for some old-fashioned joy in your comic pull.”

Creighton’s Recommendation …

WolfWolf #5

“Ales Kot had his best year yet in 2015, and one of those reasons was Wolf. His fascinating mashup of hard-boiled noir, supernatural occult, racial tensions and general Southern California skulduggery is back with a new arc and artist. If it’s anything like the first arc, it will be well worth your time . . . “

Dean’s Recommendation …
Batman48 Batman #48
“After the last few pages of issue #47 I have been chomping at the bit for this one. Easily my most anticipated book of the week.”

As I’m sure you all have noticed, the pull list page is no longer present. We here at Nothing But Comics have decided to combine this weekly with the discussion of which comics we are all buying for the week. Included below is the link of our personal favorite product guide. Don’t worry, this is not an advertisement; the website is not paying us anything to push it (not that we’d object!). Comic List just happens to be totally awesome. So check out that massive list and then come on back here to let us know what you are buying.
