Indubitable Issues and Pull List (05/24/17)

Tyler’s Recommendation…
Saucer State #1
“Paul Cornell and Ryan Kelly finally bring back the criminally under appreciated Saucer Country. I really enjoyed the first series, so it is with great excitement that I recommend everyone pick this up.”

 Dean’s Recommendations…
Dying and The Dead #4
“Wait…is it another comic book requested by the Nothing But Comics podcast team? Yes it is! Dying and The Dead is back. Good news is, if you missed the first round you only have three issues to catch up on. I would recommend doing that because this comic book is good!”
East of West #33
“If I’m going to recommend a Hickman comic that has been resurrected then I better recommend his best and longest current run as well. East of West has been fantastic for so long now but at this moment, Hickman is really tuned into the story structure giving you a payoff in every issue.”
Seven To Eternity #6
“I’m really enjoying this book. The art is fantastic and the story has me hooked. If you are looking for something new, check this one out.”

As we’re sure you all have noticed, the pull list page is no longer present. We here at Nothing But Comics have decided to combine this weekly with the discussion of which comics we are all buying for the week. Included below is the link of our personal favorite product guide. Don’t worry, this is not an advertisement; the website is not paying us anything to push it (not that we’d object!). Comic List just happens to be totally awesome. So check out that massive list and then come on back here to let us know what you are buying.

  1. Black Hammer #9 Rubin Main
Highlander American Dream #4 (of 5)
    Kamandi Challenge #5 (of 12)
    Old Guard #4 (MR)
    Rapture #1 Cvr A
    Rat Queens #3 (MR)
    Saucer State #1 (of 6)
    Wonder Woman #23
    X-O Manowar (2017) #3

Interesting to see Saucer State; it was once a good Vertigo comic that I was sad to see cancelled.

Black Hammer is still fantastic, X-O is shaping up nicely and Rat Queens isn’t quite what it once was.

The first issue of seven to eternity was good but it got lost in my resent shuffle.

Hickman is fantastic, I pretty much like all of his new series except for how most of them disappear for months. Eventually I give up. I’ve been thinking of going totally graphic novel on Hickman stuff from here on out so I can alleviate this problem.
