Indubitable Issues and Pull List (03/14/18)

Tyler’s Recommendations…
Deadly Class #32
“My favorite 80’s punk rock, assassin high school comic is back! I’ve been missing the insane tale of the kids of King’s Dominon,
so I’m super excited for the next chapter to begin. Wes Craig art has been sorely missed in my pull.”

Dry County #1
“A new tale from the fantastic mind and pen of Rich Tommaso. An amateur detective in 1980’s Miami, drawn by Tommaso? Yes please!”
 Josh’s Recommendations
Come into Me #1
“With a lurid sounding title, this new series from the creative team of ‘The Dregs’, Zac Thompson and Piotr Kowalski, is about two people inhabiting the same body as the next form of social media. Color me intrigued, the premise is provocative and I’m eager to see how Thompson and Kowalski have grown from their last collaboration.”
Ghostbusters Crossing Over #1
“Burnham and Schoening are back once more with a new installment of their GB epic. This time, it’s all proton packs on deck as a job too big for our foursome forces them to recruit every Buster in the multiverse. Don’t miss out on all the hijinks.”
 Reed’s Recommendations
Eternity Girl #1
“A new book by the offbeat DC superhero imprint Young Animal — it’s protagonist (who stole the show in the Young Animal/DC Comics “Milk War” crossover event) is a weird body horror superhero whose adventures were a commentary on the the evolution of the weird superhero comics published by DC’s other imprint, Vertigo, as well as the impact commercial considerations have on a comic book character’s narrative. It will be interesting to see what Visaggio and Liew do with the character in her own comic.”
Infidel #1
“Great horror fiction reflects real-world anxieties, and the creative team of Infidel explore modern American fears regarding Islamic extremism, immigration, and cultural diversity/inclusion, using a family living in a haunted apartment building as a metaphor for America’s current social divisions. Campbell’s art is appropriately unnerving for a comic that promises to be a thoughtful horror comic that will give you something to ponder long after you put it down.”
As we’re sure you all have noticed, the pull list page is no longer present. We here at Nothing But Comics have decided to combine this weekly with the discussion of which comics we are all buying for the week. Included below is the link of our personal favorite product guide. Don’t worry, this is not an advertisement; the website is not paying us anything to push it (not that we’d object!). Comic List just happens to be totally awesome. So check out that massive list and then come on back here to let us know what you are buying.

  1. Has anyone watched Netflix’s Frankenstein Chronicles yet? Two seasons at 6 episodes each. My favorite new show. It takes the sort of overrated IMO Mary Shelly’ Frankenstein and incorporates her work as a fictional book within the show’s fictional world. It starts off as a detective/ mystery story and evolves rapidly from there. Season two is pretty awesome. Don’t watch the trailer after 30 seconds to avoid a major spoiler.
