Reading through my stack of books this week, I noticed little things in each of them. “This plot isn’t bad, but the ending is too sudden”, “This seems like a book extolling the merits of wealth and privilege”, etc. Little things that, even though I was moving moderately fast in my reading, I picked up on and formed my overall opinion of the book. The last book in my stack, Clandestino #1, struck me in its art and plot structure and put it over the top for This Week’s Finest.
