“How do you make Faith Herbert any more endearing? Send her out on a date with Obadiah Archer. It’s a charming evening full of awkward romance, geek-culture references and super-villain shenanigans. Fun times.”

Betty and Veronica #1

“The new Archie comics have been pretty great, so it’s a given I’m checking this one out. Adam Hughes is a very talented artist, but I’ve never read anything by him, just admired his cover work. This has all the right ingredients to be an awesome series, so grab yourself one of the 25–you heard me, 25!–variants covers this Wednesday.” 

 

 

 

 

 

Island #9

“A new issue of one of the best things happening in comics right now. The anthology format has always been a tricky one, but I think Brandon Graham and Emma Rios have cracked the code with this series. Each installment contains multiple full issues of various lengths by different creators. Some are familiar, but many of them you may never have heard of. Trust me though, you need to discover their awesomeness.”

 

 

 

 

 

 Josh’s Recommendations…

Hellblazer Rebirth #1

“Maybe its all the rumors for a season 2 of his show, but I’m craving some good ol John Constantine. The Constantine with that roguish swagger, and Machiavellian gleam in his eyes. Time to see if Ol John feels like rejoining the public eye once again.”

 

 

 

 

 

Green Arrow #3

“A bit rocky, Green Arrow is proving to be a hard series to pin down much less put. Otto Schmidt’s art is fantastic, and Percy shows great handling of the characters. Let’s see what this month brings as we undertake Robin Arrow once more.”
