The Red Bee asks Cullen Bunn about his favorite Micronaut

Over the years, the Micronauts sci-fi toy line has inspired comics produced by various publishers, such as Image Comics and Devil’s Due Publishing, but most notably Marvel Comics’ Micronauts series; initially written by Bill Mantlo and illustrated by Michael Golden and Joe Rubinstein, the series ran from 1979 to 1984. The series featured heroic characters like Biotron and Acroyear fighting against the evil Baron Karza in the extradimensional Microverse.

This week, IDW Publishing releases its own Micronauts series, written by Cullen Bunn and illustrated by David Baldeon. We wanted to know Bunn’s favorite Micronauts character, so we recruited superhero the Red Bee to ask him.

The Red Bee asks Mark Russell about a Prez State of the Union address

Many Americans watched President Obama’s last State of the Union address this past Tuesday. At Nothing But Comics, we wondered what Beth Ross – the presidential protagonist of the DC Comics sci-fi political satire Prez – might say in her State of the Union address if she were limited to only one tweet.

Joshua Williamson Reveals His Favorite FANTASTIC FOUR Character

In anticipation of the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, Nothing But Comics dispatched superhero the Red Bee to ask various comics creators to reveal their favorite Fantastic Four character.

The Red Bee Asks Scott Kolins about ADAM.3

At Nothing But Comics, we’re big fans of creator Scott Kolins, who provides great art on such comics as The Flash, Thor: Blood Oath, and Past Aways.   So when we learned that Kolins was writing and illustrating the Dark Horse Comics series Adam.3, we were eager to learn more about the comic.

Artist Chris Burnham Reveals His Favorite FANTASTIC FOUR Character

The Red Bee Asks Brandon Graham about 8House: Arclight

At Nothing But Comics, we’re big fans of creator Brandon Graham.  Graham’s comics are some of our favorites, such as King City, Multiple Warheads, and Prophet.   So when we learned that Graham was writing the Image Comics series 8House: Arclight, with art by Marian Churchland, we were eager to learn more about the comic.

The Red Bee Asks Chris Ryall about Onyx

At Nothing But Comics, we are excited to read the upcoming IDW Publishing comics series Onyx, co-created by writer Chris Ryall and artist Gabriel Rodriguez.  Ryall and Rodriguez impressed us with their work on Clive Barker’s The Great and Secret Show, and Rodriquez provided the stunning artwork for one of our favorite comics series, Locke and Key.  

We wanted to learn more about Onyx, so we recruited superhero the Red Bee to ask Ryall about the comic.

The Red Bee Asks Marc Andreyko about Mulan: Revelations

At Nothing But Comics, we are big fans of Marc Andreyko. The author has written some of our favorite comics, like Wonder Woman ’77, Batwoman,  and Manhunter.

So when we learned that Andreyko is writing the science fiction comic Mulan: Revelations for Dark Horse Comics, we recruited superhero the Red Bee to ask Andreyko about the comic.

“Who’s the Scariest Member of Squadron Sinister?”: The Red Bee Interviews Marc Guggenheim

The Marvel Comics supervillain team Squadron Sinister is formidable. Created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Sal Buscema and debuting in The Avengers #69 (Oct. 1969), the evil team members were based on DC Comics characters: the Superman-inspired Hyperion, the Batman-esque Nighthawk, the Flash-like Whizzer, etc.

The creative team on the Marvel Comics Secret Wars tie-in Squadron Sinister – writer Marc Guggenheim and artists Carlos Pacheco, Mariano Taibo, and Frank Martin – remind readers just how powerful, evil, and scary these characters are.

At Nothing But Comics, we were curious to know which Squadron Sinister character Guggenheim thought was the scariest, so we dispatched superhero the Red Bee to ask him.

The Red Bee Investigates Rexodus

At Nothing But Comics, we love dinosaurs, so of course we were intrigued by the upcoming Dark Horse Comics graphic novel Rexodus.  The graphic novel, written by James Farr and illustrated by Jon Sommariva, looks like a fun action adventure comic for all ages – featuring dinosaurs – and we just had to know more about it.  So we tasked superhero the Red Bee with asking Farr about Rexodus.
